The brief
Enchanting Travels designs bespoke trips from offices spanning Delhi to Nairobi. They wanted responsible travel embedded across the whole company as authentic practice, not a page on the website, and they wanted their global teams and local partners to come with them.
What Jen drove
As Responsible Travel Coordinator, then Advisor, Jen identified the company's key focus areas and drafted its Responsible Travel Policy and the policies underneath it. She created the evaluation framework, guidelines and process behind the Sustainability Criteria for Partner Selection, so who the company worked with became a decision with rules rather than instinct.
Adoption was the real work. She built internal communications to carry it: global training guides, team engagement plans, and the Responsible Travel Champions network, so the programme had people in every office rather than a document in a shared drive.
Externally, she set consistent key messaging across guest documentation, the website and newsletters, and wrote conversation guides so guest-facing and partner-facing teams could answer the awkward questions honestly. She also researched independent certifications and supported the first Travelife partner accreditation rollout across the corporate sites in 2020.
The result
A responsible-travel programme running through the business rather than alongside it: engaged teams, sustainability criteria guiding partner selection, and Travelife accreditation underway across the corporate sites in 2020.
